Account settings
Account Settings is your own corner of Midlr. Here you change your password, turn on notifications, pick light or dark mode, and log out. Changes here only affect you, not the rest of your team.
Open Account Settings
Either:
- In the sidebar, open Settings & Support and click Account Settings, or
- Click your profile picture at the top right and choose Profile.
The top of the page shows your name and email.
Change your password
On the Password card, click Change Password.
Type your Current Password.
Type a New Password. It must have:
- At least 8 characters
- a Lowercase letter
- an Uppercase letter
- At least one number
- a Special character, such as
!or#
A strength meter shows how strong it is. The new password must be different from your current one.
Type it again in Confirm New Password.
Click Save Password.
TIP
Forgot your current password? Log out and click Forgot Password? on the login page. An admin can also set a new password for you from the Users page.
Turn on push notifications
Push notifications alert you about calls, new messages and other updates, even when the Midlr tab isn't in front.
- On the Push Notifications card, turn the switch on.
- When your browser asks, click Allow.
The card shows Enabled, Disabled or Blocked.
If it says Blocked, you (or your browser) refused notifications earlier. Open your browser's site settings for Midlr, allow notifications, and try again. Push notifications work in Chrome, Edge and Firefox.
Notifications are set per browser, so turn them on in each browser, on each computer or phone you use. Turning them off in one browser doesn't change the others.
Pick light or dark mode
On the Theme card, click Light or Dark.
Change the language
Click the globe icon at the top of the screen and pick a language. Midlr currently offers English and Arabic (العربية). In Arabic, the screen switches to right-to-left.
Log out
On the Account card, click Logout. You can also click your profile picture at the top right and choose Logout.
Change your name, email or photo
You can't change these from Account Settings. Ask someone who can edit users to change them for you on the Users page.
